Govindhasamy Naidu's commendable work of educating the rural girls has enhanced the barren annur to fertile one, a mile stone in the service to the native people and humanity overall.
OUR FOUNDER
The KG Group of Companies is one of the premier Industrial groups in South India. Started as a cotton-trading venture by Shri.K Govindaswamy Naidu in 1932, it has evolved as one of the most highly integrated companies involved in every sphere of the Textile Industry. - Textile mill family is responsible to introduce OE yarn manufacturing and all lower count stifle of OE yarn.
- He has been Doctorated twice for the Small Scale Industries Development.

Divine Path of G R
Manneeswaran Temple – Annur
- Constructed Raja gopuram and performed twice the Consecration Ceremony (Kumbabishekam).
- Ratham (Thaer) was provided.
- Amavasai annadhanam is an ongoing process since 1995.
- Initiated Pradhosham Valipadu & it goes on till today.
- Palliyarai Pooja (a place for Diving & resting) has to be performed every day @ night in the temple. The required pooja things for this ceremony is Provided by him.
- Annur Perumal Kovil is his solo effort.
- Maintenance of the temple and he manages the performance of pooja.
- Supplied the entire pooja things for Perumal Kovil Kumbabhishekam.
- He shoulders the responsibility of both the temple Kumbabhishekam.
- Daily Poojas & maintenance of Periamman Kovil were taken care of G R more than 15 years. Recently their community people took over it.
Ongoing Journey in LIONS CLUB
- 1985 - Elected as a Charter President of LIONS CLUB of Annur.
- - On inaugural, donated 1000 USD as MJF (The Melvin Jones Fellowship). a tremendous contribution to humanity & to the legacy of the founder, Melvin Jones.
- - G R constructed water tanks, dug 3 Borewells effortlessly, and, facilitated water connections for the whole village of Annur. The same is used by the Government even today.
- 1988 - G R became a District Governor. During his tenure, increased the Membership & redistricted the district into 4 – 324, B1, B2, B3, B4.
- - Inaugurated (Brought) 25 – new clubs), 25 – LEO Clubs & 25 MJF.
- - Created 5 records to the International. 1996 – 98 - I.D / Brought additional director seat to our multiple in 98 itself.
- - Board appointee – four times – back-to-back I.D. seat to our multiple Lions Co-ordination Committee Chair for twice Chair National Sight First Committee of India and for 7 years with LC, paid inaugurated 109 eye hospitals.
- - The first IOL hospital was inaugurated in the entire India at Nedathovol, a landmark even now.
- - Sponsored 936 new members.
- - Provided 10,000 lightweight calipers.
Natural Calamities – Consolation
- 1996 - Andra Cyclone Relief work was carried out at DADA Pallikkoodam, one Nagar was built with more houses, and the streets are named after the PDG.
- 2004 - Tsunami Rehabilitation Service Built Community halls, 2000 individual houses & Tsunami Rescue houses for the needy & homeless.
- - Redistricted MD 324 units - 316, 317, 318, 324.
- 2012 - Planted more than 3.5 million saplings in South India which is a Limca Record. Now those saplings have become rich sources of O2
- - In the year ______ Pioneer of Lead gift donor of the Lion’s International. Until today sent a total amount of 1,70,000 USDS to LCIF.
