BIOGRAPHY
G.R was born in Annur on 09/01/1949 To Dharmaveera Thiru.Govindasamy Naidu and Seethalakshmi Ammal in Annur.
G.R was initiated into the fold of education at the Government Higher Secondary School, Annur. He was an obedient and a self-motivated child and was fond of his teachers.
After completion of formal school education, G.R'S interest in the field of judiciary and passion to become a lawyer made him join BA (History) at Madras Loyola College. Horse riding, yoga,and playing tennis were his hobbies. Even now yoga is apart of his daily routine. After completion of his degree, at the behest of his father he left his pursuit of becoming a lawyer and came back from Madras to join the family textile business.

G.R, hailing from a family having textiles as their core business, acquired a complete knowledge of textiles that earned him a distinctive place in the Textile industry. He is the Managing Director of Kadri mills LTD, the flag ship company of the renowned KG GROUP.
G.R inspired many skilled and individual illiterate laborers to get loans from the bank and start their own small scale manufacturing units at their own places, thus empowering them to be original equipment manufacturers. G.R was the first person to initiate this development of small scale industries and was the first promoter of exporting these manufactured goods to Italy within two years.
He was awarded Honorary Doctorate for achieving the large scale manufacturing of “OE” and the prestigious Cavalier award from Italian Government for manufacturing Agricultural based tractor equipment.
G.R is the managing trustee of the KG charitable trust, which undertakes philanthrophy in religious, educational and health care activities.
G.R inspired his father Dharmaveera Thiru Govindasamy Naidu to start a separate school for girls. He truly believed that a women educated means a lineage getting educated”.
The crusading did not stop there but it went further to enable the children of Annur and its suburbs to get better quality English Medium Education.
KG Matriculation School was started to cater to the growing needs of the society. In the year 2006 to meet the requirement of the metamorphosis in the education, with the motto of unique child centered education aiming to unravel the gems hidden in each child and enable the education to become an instrument of profound social transformation G.R started the state of the art KG International School in Annur taluk.
Education with 3 dimensional teaching and learning is the ethos of the KG International School as envisioned by G.R. He was instrumental in signing on APPLE EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVE TECHNOLOGY and provided IPADS free of cost to all the teachers, so that the children of KG International School can understand and appreciate the subjects in a visual real time environment.
He joined the Lions Club of Annur town District 342B as charter president in the year 1985-86 G.R became district Governor during 1988-89.
G.R a great leader has led a lot of community development programmes through Lionisim.
With futuristic approach G.R accomplished the challenge of providing 100000 calipers to various sections of polio victims in record time of 6 months during 2006-07 and won the recognition of then president his Excellency APJ Abdul Kalam.
Cataract operations with fixing of intraocular lens to about 1,50,000 persons every year across India through 110 hospitals is an another mile stone of G.R's service to humanity through Lionisim
In the recognition of his service to the society and Lions club G.R has received numerous awards.
1. 100% Club President Award.
2. 100% District Governor Award.
3. Ambassador of Goodwill Award.
4. Recognition of cavalries for achievements and contribution towards social educational and religious fields.
G.R is married to Lion.Shanthamani. They are blessed with two sons, three granddaughters and a grandson.
At the KG International School G.R's only aim is to transform the KG INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL into a model school, as his vision for the children who step into the portals of KG International School is to transform them into citizens who will become world leaders.
